Our Annual Festival

Hike - A Multi-Dimensional Festival

At Hyphae, we believe that spiritual work and physical exhaustion go hand in hand. Sweat, (constructive) pain, and hard work function to elevate followers to a higher plane. Literally lose yourself in movement and meditation, and embark on a hike so great the view will change the way you see the world forever. Connect to your fellow members through sweat, tears, and music. Shed your egotistical fabric, abandon the safety of your cocoon, and spread your wings and fly with us together. Move by bodily instinct, not by mindly fears. No electronics allowed, only fully present buddlings. Finish the intensive day with an EDM show with an energy like no other.

The Balance

Beginning the day at dawn, everyone heads out to the forest to begin our yoga balance intensive. After warming up, several standing postures are held for long periods of time, actively unlocking our inner focus power. Unite your mind and body on a common equilibrium, preparing your internal and external strength for the day by channeling the lovely God of Balance. While balancing, highly trained specialists observe the devotees, handing out different tickets to everyone by accessing their response to the poses.

The Cleanse

After the purge is complete, members begin the pilgrimage beyond the forest, where members shed their sweat in unison. Hands are joined, and members move together at once into The Sacred Ocean. The salt from bodies meets the salt from the mother water. Members engage in play, and are encouraged to lose their inhibitions and channel their child-like wonder for her beauty. Splashing, diving, or whatever movement resonates with you is welcome.

The Purge

After the balance intensive, members follow their ticket to their respective meditation rooms, which are placed meticulously among our tall friends, the coastal redwoods. Their great height, and our mere proximity to them, bring us closer to the Gods. Each is a standalone structure made of bamboo and palm leaves, raised 6 feet off of the ground. A furnace of melted silver heats up the rooms. Highly specialized and trained Meditationalists lead devotees through the cleansing session. Heat begins at 95, and builds incrementally until confessions are induced. The Goddess of Peace will guide your cleanse. Confessions are accompanied by uncontrollable crying or hysterical laughter, signaling that your purge is complete. Before the meditation, an herbal psycho tea is distributed to catalyze the transformation.

The Ceremony of Love

Once standing in concentric circles, everybody sheds their garb and embraces their natural forms, and once again joins hands. The Goddess of Love dances around us. We become fully born to the world, old and young, and basque in the beauty and acceptance of our different bodies and shapes. Another psychoactive tea is served to rejuvenate the mind. This is where you truly see others for who they are. This is a ritual of love and appreciation, and perhaps an opportunity to exert any additional pent up frustration.

The Offering

Retreating back into the forest, members begin the process of foraging and gathering. We seek the bounty of the forest and take time to appreciate her fruits. We gather together and throw our findings in the air. Those who find themselves in possession of the same fruits, nuts, or flowers of the forest find each other and form in circles. These people are met by Luck.

Rage for Darkness

The God of Darkness demands energy from us, and he will get it one way or another. Instead of harvesting energy through our fears, we will offer our energy through dance and abrasive music. Among 6 elaborate stages, people can move to find the sound that most resonates with them. Featuring Fisher, Griztronics, Scrillex, Sullivan King, Tiësto, and more.
